L-lysine

L-lysine is an essential amino acid, meaning that it is required to sustain your health but cannot be synthesized by your cells, so it must be supplied by your diet.

image Description

L-lysine is found in all foods containing proteins. It is a necessary building block for all proteins in the body. L-lysine plays a major role in calcium absorption; building muscle protein and in the body's production of hormones, enzymes and antibodies.

L-LYSINE

Lysine in Recover-Me

L-Lysine has been specifically added to Recover-Me in order to strengthen the effect of the special arginine form; L-Arginine L-Pidolate. An additional benefit is to lower the potential activation of the -dormant- herpes simplex virus, when the intake of L-Arginine is increased.

L-arginine and L-lysine are both needed for optimal support of your health. Their combined effects are desirable in several situations, such as potentially increasing growth hormone levels and strengthening your bones.

Increasing growth hormone levels

L-lysine has been tested alone and in combination with L-arginine and irrevocably found to be effective in growth hormone production and suppressing the herpes virus (HSV).

Recover-Me

has L-lysine in its formula to maximise the absorption of L-arginine into the body and to enhance GH release during sleep and off-set any possible herpes outbreak. It is very important for people to read all the clinical data, in order to fully understand the reasons why we made the composition of Recover-Me the way we did.

Bone Health

A study published  in www.sciencedirect.com in the December 2002 issue of "Biomedicine and Pharmacotherapy" demonstrated that combining L-arginine and L-lysine supplements stimulated the activity of human osteoblasts, the cells responsible for increasing bone mass. In this laboratory experiment, L-arginine’s effects on nitric oxide-induced cell signalling and L-lysine’s contributions to collagen synthesis triggered increased bone production in the test tube when both amino acids were applied together to the osteoblasts
