Why is Recover-Me unique?

  1. RECOVER-ME IS DEVELOPED ON THE BASIS OF THE  NOBEL PRIZE IN PHYSIOLOGY OR MEDICINE 19981 awarded for the discovery concerning nitric oxide as a signalling molecule in the cardiovascular system, by a renowned professor emeritus of organic chemistry. 
  2. For quality reasons, it is made in Europe, in a laboratory that adheres to the strictest regulatory guidelines.6
  3. We use only the highest available pharmaceutical grade ingredients to ensure consistent quality and full customs satisfaction.
  4. Recover-Me is a formula of amino acids based on a scientific study carried out according to scientific parameters by Dr. A. Isidori, in 1981 at the University of Rome.2
  5. We improved the formulation and made Recover-Me with the highest quality ingredients. We use the right kind of L-Arginine, Pidolate, (the salt of L-Arginine) which when combined with L-Lysine increases the absorption of L-Arginine.2 Lysine and Arginine should not be taken together if they are of the *L* form, as L-Arginine and L-Lysine compete for the same receptors. L-Arginine Pidolate, however,attaches to a different receptor and allows a synergistic effect between the two. Isomaltulose (has low sugar content) is added so that it is absorbed slowly into the blood.
  6. For the production of nitric oxide, the body needs, among other things, the amino acid L-Arginine.The typical western diet provides a person with 3 to 6 g of L-arginine per day. Common food sources of L-arginine are nuts, dairy, soy protein, meat and seafood with a bioavailability of about 60%. However, most of this L-arginine is not converted by the body to therapeutic levels after the "long bone growth" has stopped (around 23 years).  This led us to look for an alternative source to adequately convert L-arginine. As simple as this may seem, tests show that unless the L-arginine molecule is of the correct type (L-pyroglutamate) and surrounded by L-lysine and L-glutamine, the conversion of L-arginine to nitric oxide does not occur at levels considered effective.2
  7. After studying existing products on the market we deliberately choose to only use ingredients that are scientifically proven to work well together.
  8. The formulation of Recover-Me has been kept as simple as possible to avoid counter effects that often occur whenever unrelated and incompatible ingredients are blend together. Focus has always been on positive impact rather than creating an “impressive” label with a long list of ingredients.
  9. The focus of Recover-Me is to increase L-Arginine levels in the body and brain, so that nitric oxide production and growth hormone levels4 are increased, to slow down the ageing process.  The available L-Arginine4 in the body comes from the transformation of L-Arginine L-Pidolate and L-Glutamine. The L-Arginine, L-Pidolate, can cross the blood-brain barrier more easily, which accounts for the higher L-Arginine levels in the brain and thus nitric oxide.
  10. For anti-aging and deep-sleep effect we added L-Glutamine 4, 5  which protects the stomach lining and is steps removed from converting into ntric oxide.


 

Mixing ingredients that are not scientifically tested in a blended form exposes the consumer to unwanted side effects or no effect at all. (Even if these ingredients are individually proven to be safe or effective to various levels).

Recover-Me is based on Isomaltulose, a double sugar molecule (disaccharide), which is found in trace amounts in sugar cane and honey, consisting of the monosaccharides glucose and fructose. Due to its strong bond, the sugar is digested very slowly (low glycemic index), (tooth friendly) and delivers prolonged energy.

Low Glycemic Index (GI)
The glycemic index is a measure of the effects of carbohydrates on blood glucose levels. Carbohydrates that break down rapidly during digestion, releasing monosaccharides like glucose and fructose into the bloodstream, have a high GI (i.e. table sugar).

Carbohydrates that break down slowly, releasing monosaccharides gradually into the bloodstream, have a low GI (i.e. Isomaltulose). The GI Range of a low GI product is 55 or less. Recover-Me uses Isomaltulose as carbohydrate, which has a GI of 32. The amino acids in Recover-Me have no effect on the glycemic index.
